during the events of the proxy karakura town and the final battle. soul society seeing that aizen gin and toursen were becoming to strong decided to unleashe a weapon that whiped out the fake town and everyone in it at the time this weapon was the soul societies last resort (it was also the gaint defused nuke from under soul society) whipeing both waring parties off the face of the earth. meanwhile the ryoka and four captains traped inside the huco mondo. with no way to return to the world of the living were faced with endless amounts of hollows and the remaining arrancar there death was inevitable.
it has been five years since then and the soul society has worked hard on restoring the gotie thirteen fiding many new captains to fit the squads. what happened was an all to hasty re equiping of squads. some captains were pulled from squad zero others from there individuall squads. but that battle has left the soul societies millitary power weak and inwordly focused.
the last five years have not been kind to the arrancar. the once legendary espada now long dead. new powerfull arrancar have taken up the las no ches. these arancar are created when a hollow evolves threw its higher stages and becomes an arrancar naturaly. these new age espada kept the name of the original ten even limiting themselfs to the numbering systom used by the original espada. however with out proper leadership the huco mondos las noches has fallen into dissarray. the espada have no guidance and althou a currant primara calls the shots some arrancar have fled to the human world seeking better lives.
