The day was clear, few clouds were in the sky, and Karakura town was lively. Garret walked the streets, taking in the sights and sounds of his new home. He had only been there for a week now, and had spent the past week getting used to the new change in time zone, and unpacking his stuff in his new home. From what he could see, life was sure to be different in Japan than it was in the States. His main thought though lied in his gift however. 'Are the answers I seek here, in this town? By the looks of it, I doubt it. Maybe I'm wrong. I've been here for a week. I don't know, I'll give this place a shot.' He continued walking down the street, unaware of the presence close to him.

kenji sighed muttering to himself "is this even nessasary i mean im a captain and now im stuck on gaurd duty... god all i did was assult a few other squads and suddenly there like get some freash air bleh". he was to busy talking to himself to notice the world around him and walked strait into garret. "hay watch where your going next time". he yelled out in anger even thou he was the one that had nocked into the other guy. "i tell you people these days have no respect".
kenji's gigai was enough to warrent a secound glance mostly becouse he looked like a guy from that 70s show. he glarred at garret if looks could kill this one would have been a wmd.

Garret was knocked back by the stranger who hit him, obviously not even paying attention to what he was doing. He looked at Kenji, noticing the odd style of clothing that was outdated years ago, and heard his comment. "What do you mean no respect? You're the one who bumped into me!" Garret was about to say more when all the sudden he felt weak and powerless, like he meant nothing. He was definitely affected by Kenji's spiritual pressure, but didn't realize it. 'What...what is this? Why am I so weak now? I've never felt this weak before...' he thought as he hit his knees. "Get up Garret. Don't let him overpower you. Get up and stand!" 'Damnit... this voice... this girl in my head, whoever you are... please, be quiet and shut up!' Garret then tried standing up, but found it difficult.

kenji smirked this guy could feel spirit pressure that was intresting. "to bad i never learned to sense out other peoples streangth.... looks like hes having some problems should i tone down my spirit energy". he thought it over and then made a dission to let more of his power leak out. his power even in the human world was emmense. and with his power now on full display this would be pritty crushing to a human who had never incounterd a captain befor.
he looked at him now gleeming with joy knowing full well why this kid was in pain "are you okay?... i mean it looks pritty bad HAY KID CAN YOU WALK". he was drawing as much attention to this as possible to humilliate the poor human. it was clear he was injoying this.

Garret continued having trouble trying to stand up, and with Kenji's increase in energy, Garret was thrown off even more. 'What the hell? This feeling... this feeling just got stronger. Was the voice correct? Is it this guy?' "There you go Garret. Realize he isn't human. His power isn't like yours. Don't let him overpower you!" 'I told you once... SHUT UP AND LET ME HANDLE THIS!!!' With that thought, Garret lost control of his energy, as in a flash of light, his lower right arm, which was in a fist on the ground, became covered in a glove, a white, blue and gold glove. Without realizing it, he too started letting loose his own energy, as he finally stood up and looked at Kenji. With a glare, emanating his own above average human energy, he replied to him. "I don't know who you are, what you are, and what you're doing, but you need to stop, and now."

kenji tilted his head kinda as sarkahn vol's voice in his head spoke out in intrest. "burn him to a crisp you know you wanna". kenji reached into his pocket and pulled out a small pezz dispencer. "so... this is intresting... i wonder what are you". he took the pill and his soul split from his body. he cricked his neack his captain's jacket flowing in the wind. he pulled his sword from his sheath "... your not much of a threat so.... i wont kill you but i will give you a stern reminder that... your only human... and that means you dont interfear with soul society affares".

Garret stood there, intensely glaring at Kenji, as he watched him pull a Pez dispenser from his pocket. He became confused as this guy popped what seemed to be a pill instead. Within an instant, Garret couldn't believe what he was seeing, as Kenji separated from his gigai. 'Did this guy... did he just... no way, that can't be possible!' Garret looked in utter shock and suprise as he saw two Kenjis, one in the outdated clothing style, and one in a black uniform with a white cloth over him. Garret then noticed the sword on his hip, as Kenji began to draw it and spoke. 'Doesn't intend to kill me? Why else is drawing his sword?' "Wait a minute! I don't wish to fight!" Garret said, readying himself in a defense stance. "I have no intention of fighting you, nor do I even know about this 'Soul Society' you're talking about. What and who are you anyways?"

kenji shook his head it didn't matter what this kid wanted he had already drawn his weapon. "if you didn't want to fight then whats that". he pointed his sword at the arm blade his oponant had. "and as for the soul society.. well i dont really care if you know about them any way but okay then if you must know". there was a fliker of motion and then kenji was gone reapearing behind garret "my name is kenji armil and allow me to explain why you should be wetting yourself right now. i am the elite member of an organization called the gotie thirteen. of them i lead a group of people who only live for a fight. that means that you should be begging for mercy right now".

Garret stood there, listening to Kenji speak. After he had pointed out that his blade was showing, Garret became shocked. He hadn't summoned his blade, at least he didn't remember summoning it. Garret was about to recall his blade while Kenji was talking, but became frozen in fear when he watched Kenji disappear, only to instantly reappear directly behind him, saying that he was in charge of an elite group of men who loved nothing but fighting. Garret was paralyzed in fear and couldn't move. 'Why can't I move? I gotta move, or else I could die... I have to move...' "Oh quit your whining and move already! Garret, listen to me. Do you want to live? Or do you want to die frozen in fear? If you don't want to die, then MOVE DAMN YOU!" After hearing the woman's voice, Garret couldn't help but realize that she was right. He retracted his blade, and darted off into the nearest alley way that he could possibly find. He kept his glove on just in case, but had no intention to bring the blade back out. 'Why did it just come out like that? I didn't want it to. All I know is that I gotta get away from this guy!'

kenji watched him run and then turned around and continued walking in the other direction. he had scared that guy shitless and now as he walked away he felt accomplished... vary accomplished. he had done his part in the human world and compleatly forrgotten why he was even here. untill he heard the scream. a hollows scream and it was coming from the allie where that kid had run off to. ".... do i really have to". he sighed and turned taking his time to walk after the kid "no wait youll be eaten". he said in a rather lazy tone. kenji was above this kind of work and yet becouse of his attatude he was on hollow duty. he sighed and picked up his pace to catch up with the kid.

Garret turned into the alley way, only to see a hollow after the spirit of a woman who began screaming at it's appearance. Garret couldn't blame her, as the thing looked creepy as hell, like one giant praying mantis, but with really huge scythes for it's two arms though. "Son of a..." Garret started to say as the hollow moved towards the woman. He burst into a sprint as he released his blade again, and shouted at the spirit. "Lady, get out of here! Just run, I'll take care of this damn thing!" And with that, Garret did a side jump off the wall of the build to his right, and brought his blade down, only to miss it's mask, striking it's shoulder instead. "Oh look here! It seems we have another snack for me, aren't I just lucky. And he brought friends! Shinigami taste really well..." the hollow said. "Sorry to say, but I'm not gonna be your snack!" 'Wait a second... did he say friends? And a shinigami at that?' he thought as he was about to swing upwards at the hollow, but got knocked against the wall by it first.

there was a quick motion of movement and the arm that held garret to the wall was quickly severed with an intensive heat. kenji was standing infront of it now his shikai fully drawn the heat of the sword making it glow. he pointed it at the hollow "listen up masked fugly you cought me in a real bad mood and when i say that i mean it. i mean im so pissed i could kill you right now and hell im even considering burning down this intire city well im at it. and then the next city and the one after that like i said im in a bad mood... but instead im gonna let this human kill ya".

Garret looked over at Kenji, seeing that his sword had obviously changed. Confused as to what exactly was going on, he watched as the arm that had him pinned was burned to a crisp, seeing the attack come from Kenji. After Kenji spoke, saying that he was gonna let Garret take this thing out, he felt shocked in a way. 'He just said he could burn the town down if he wanted, yet he's gonna let me take over this? What the...' "Don't question it Garret. He's giving you the opportunity to show yourself. Don't disappoint." For once, Garret actually agreed with the female voice in his head. "Thanks." he said towards Kenji. With that, he pushed off the wall, sliding under the hollow, slashing it as he past underneath. He grabbed hold of one of its legs with his left hand, ran up the wall of the building to the right, and launched himself onto the hollow. "Sorry to cut this meal short, but you need to leave!" yelled Garret as he punched his blade through the back of the hollow's head.
